Dorman Products beating process efficiency goals with Acadia

Leading automotive replacement parts supplier surpasses milestone for employee training and implementing best practice work processes.

Warehouse workers checking inventory

Hunt Valley, MD, February 7, 2020 – SAI, a software products and consulting firm, today announced that Dorman Products recently met a major process improvement milestone after implementing Acadia® Performance Platform across its warehousing operations.

Acadia decreases costs and improves performance across an organization through standardization of one best way work processes, compliance tracking, and job aid distribution.

“Dorman Products’ major obstacle to process efficiency was a paper-based SOP and compliance system for their warehouse workforce. They were spending on average over 600 hours to produce, distribute and record receipt of their SOPs, but still had no insight into who was following them or how well. Acadia is giving the Dorman team the insights they need to help change employee behavior for greater operational efficiency,” said Ric Hughes, CEO SAI.

“In less than six months, we’ve blown by our target goal for distributing SOPs, reducing process change training time by 90%. We’re also making headway in our efforts to improve procedure compliance and train our employees more quickly. Acadia is at the center of how we meet our quality and training goals. It will be instrumental in our ability to meet them in the future,” said Ryan Ogden, OPEX Engineer, Dorman Products.
